More and more, the term "Skyping" is being used in different sales and marketing contexts. Sales meetings, reaching out to customer, and even daily business contacts all can be achieved using Skype and other video conferencing programs. Most people know that Skype is a video version of a phone call, but really not much more. So what exactly is Skype?
Take it from the source (www.skype.com), "Skype is for doing things together whenever you're apart. Skype's text, voice and video make it simple to share experiences with the people that matter to you, wherever they are. With Skype, you can share a story, celebrate a birthday, learn a language, hold a meeting, work with colleagues – just about anything you need to do together every day. You can use Skype on whatever works best for you - on your phone or computer or a TV with Skype on it. "
Do you have a rep or reps on the road? Maybe some employees who telecommute? Maybe you have multiple offices and weekly staff meetings are held in different locations, one day at a time.
